Liechtenstein is located at the heart of Europe between Austria and Switzerland. Zurich and its international airport can be reached in just one hour, while it is only a two-hour drive to business meetings in Munich or the shops of Milan.
With its small size and central location, Liechtenstein is a highly attractive business location. The Principality lies on the banks of the Rhine, where Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria and Switzerland converge. Close ties to all these countries make getting to Liechtenstein easy. The airports in Zurich (CH), Munich (GER) and Innsbruck (AT) are no more than a two-hour drive away, while local bus services coordinated with train timetables bring passengers from the railway stations in nearby Feldkirch (AT) and Buchs SG (CH) over the border into Liechtenstein. Although Liechtenstein does not have its own motorway, it does boast a comprehensive network of roads. Drivers wanting to travel quickly from Balzers in the south to Ruggell in the north can use the Rheintalautobahn motorway on the Swiss side of the Rhine.
