University of Liechtenstein seeking new Rector
The University of Liechtenstein is starting the recruitment process for a new Rector. Teams have been working on the cornerstones of future operational management and adapted the distribution of responsibilities, among other measures. The aim is to create greater stability.
According to a press release, the University of Liechtenstein intends to fill the vacant management position in the rectorate and will start recruiting for the position of Rector over the next few days. Former Rector, Jürgen Brücker, and the University ended their working relationship in October 2018.
Under the leadership of the University Council, interdisciplinary teams from all areas of the University have been working on the cornerstones of future operational management since the start of the year. This also involved amending the distribution of responsibilities and defining new duties for the rectorate. These measures will help create stability both internally and outside the University.
“With these measures, the University Council aims to achieve security and stability so that the University of Liechtenstein can continue to focus on its core business of teaching, research and the transfer of expertise for the benefit of the country,” commented Dr Klaus Tschütscher, President of the University Council.
