The Liechtenstein government is seeking to motivate companies to promote a healthy and harmonious work-life balance for families. To this end, the government will be awarding prizes to particularly family-friendly companies later this year in the fall.

Companies in Liechtenstein with more than two employees will be eligible to apply for the new government prize for family-friendly enterprises. A jury comprising seven members representing various national interest groups and associations will be responsible for selecting the winners. According to a press release, the winners will be awarded a certification, with larger companies also receiving an individual reports of their results with a benchmark.

The government’s plan with this prize is to motivate companies to promote a healthy and harmonious work-life balance for families. As part of this, innovative models should be announced. All participating companies will receive a best practice report, offering information on flexible working hours models as well as with regard to childcare and any dependents in need of care.

Companies have until the end of August to apply for this prize. In so doing, they will also take part in a survey on family-friendly framework conditions at the same time.
