Hilti has won five prizes at this year’s Red Dot and iF design awards. A powder-actuated nailer and a multi line laser won at both competitions, while three other Hilti tools won a Red Dot award.

The annual Industrie Forum Design (iF) Award and Red Dot Design Award honor product design achievements. This year, two Hilti Group tools won at both competitions, announced the manufacturer from Schaan in a statement.

Firstly, Hilti impressed the iF and Red Dot juries with DX 9-HSN, a fully automatic powder-actuated nailer. Because one design focus was ergonomics, the tool has a stand-up operating position that relieves stress on the operator’s back. At the same time, its handle cushions the tool’s recoil, protecting the wrists, elbows and shoulders of the operator.

Hilti also proved successful with its PM 40-MG multi line laser, which can be identified from a distance of 25 meters in bright light and has a technology protecting sensitive components from rough handling.

Three other products from the Liechtenstein manufacturer also won a Red Dot award at the Aalto Theatre in Essen in Germany: the new TE 60-A36 cordless combihammer, the SC 60W-A36 cordless circular saw, and the TE-SPX Polygon pointed chisel.
