The government of Liechtenstein and consultancy firm EY will be presenting the Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in Liechtenstein this August. An independent jury has chosen the eight finalists.

Each year, around 10,000 candidates from more than 50 countries enter the competition for Entrepreneur Of The Year, the National Administration of the Principality of Liechtenstein reported in a press release. The prestigious award is sponsored by consulting firm EY and the government of Liechtenstein. The Liechtenstein Entrepreneur Of The Year not only receive non-cash prizes and multi-day trips, but will also be inducted in the Hall of Fame of the best entrepreneurs in the world.

The finalists were selected by an independent jury of business personalities from Liechtenstein. Eight entrepreneurs from a variety of sectors are competing for the award, which will be presented at the Award Night in the SAL Saal am Lindaplatz on 23 August. The nominees include Jasmin Collini from car dealership Max Heidegger AG in Triesen, Thomas Keller from architect firm Kaundbe in Vaduz, Andreas Kollmann and Urs Frick from IT service provider Speedcom AG in Schaan, Horst Marxer from RMS Sicherheits-Anstalt in Schaan, Stefan Matt and Martin Salzgeber from software developer Creasoft in Mauren, Alexander Ospelt from food manufacturer Herbert Ospelt Anstalt in Bendern, Ferdinand Sele from canteen supplier Sele in Triesen and Richard Wanger from Confiserie Wanger AG in Schaan.

“Liechtenstein has entrepreneurs with innovative strength, vision and a positive attitude towards risk to thank for its impressive economic growth in recent decades,” comments Deputy Head of Government Daniel Risch. “The award gives much deserved public attention and recognition to outstanding entrepreneurial achievements.”
