Employees
The dissolution of a company can have far-reaching consequences for the workforce, above all if jobs are affected and redundancies are to be expected. The Liechtenstein Unemployment Insurance Act (Arbeitslosenversicherungsgesetz - “ALVG”) regulates the potential financial consequences for employees by endeavouring to prevent threatened unemployment, to combat existing unemployment and to help job-seekers rejoin the labour market. In addition, the ALVG ensures that insured employees are provided with reasonable compensation for a certain period in the event of loss of income brought about by unemployment, short-time working or insolvent employers.
