Bell Food Group implements restructuring measures
The Bell Food Group is dividing its Convenience business area into three independent divisions: Eisberg, Hügli und Hilcona. The division heads will also join the Group Executive Board. The restructuring is aimed at facilitating more direct market cultivation for Bell Food
According to a press release issued by the Bell Food Group, the Basel-based meat processing and convenience food specialist is implementing restructuring measures with effect from May 1, 2022. In so doing, the business areas at the top Group level are to be reorganized. In specific terms, the business area Convenience will be split into the three independent divisions, namely Eisberg, Hilcona and Hügli. The restructuring is designed to allow the company to cultivate the market more directly in addition to taking advantage of opportunities more effectively.
The previous head of the Convenience division, Volker Baltes, will leave the group at his own request as part of the restructuring, Bell Food writes in the press release. Marco Tschanz will take charge of the Eisberg business unit in addition to his position as head of the Bell International business unit. Management responsibilities for the new Hilcona and Hügli business areas will remain with the current division heads, Martin Henck and Thomas Bodenmann. In their new function, Henck and Bodenmann will also join the Group Executive Board, Bell Food explains.
The Bell Food subsidiary Eisberg, based in Dällikon in the canton of Zurich, specializes in business with salads, vegetables and fruit. Hilcona, a food company based in Schaan in the Principality of Liechtenstein, stocks a range of pasta, meals, pizza, sandwiches, salads, muesli and fruit, organic tofu, soups, sauces, pesto and preserves. The business focus of Hügli Holding, headquartered in Steinach in the canton of St.Gallen, is on soups, sauces, bouillons, spices, desserts, ready meals, salad dressings, spreads, nutritional foods and compounds. All three companies operate internationally.
