VP Bank has named Claus Jørgensen as the new CEO of its business in Luxembourg. The Dane, 56, will succeed Thomas Steiger, who resigned prematurely back in May.

Since May of this year, Claus Jørgensen had been responsible for the interim management of VP Bank Luxembourg SA, the VP Bank Group explains in a press release. Now, the former Head of Client Business of VP Bank (Luxembourg) SA has been appointed as the permanent CEO of the Vaduz-based banking group’s Luxembourg business. Before joining VP Bank, Jørgensen had worked for the Danske Bank Group and Nordea Bank, among other financial institutions.
“I am delighted that with Claus Jørgensen we have been able to recruit a successor from our own ranks who is very familiar with the culture, business processes and clients of VP Bank (Luxembourg) SA”, comments Paul Arni, CEO of the VP Bank Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VP Bank (Luxembourg) SA, in the press release. Jørgensen’s experience within the financial industry extends back over a quarter of a century, the press release states further. “As a valued management figure and respected financial professional with outstanding expertise and experience in private banking and fund management, he is the ideal person to fill the position”, Arni adds.
