By issuing digital checks, the Liechtenstein government is supporting the country’s SMEs in efforts to further develop the digital aspect of their businesses. Against the background of the coronavirus crisis, the government has resolved to pump additional money into the support program.

The digitalization of company processes has become even more important in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, demand for digital checks has also risen, as the government of Liechtenstein outlines in a press release. Accordingly, the support program is to be boosted by an additional cash injection up to the end of the year.
In addition, the Office of Economic Affairs of Liechtenstein is continuing to make innovation and export checks available. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are therefore also able to apply for digital checks in combination with these support tools. The government has also pointed out that a range of services offered by Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) are available for companies based in Liechtenstein as well.
In its press release, the government of Liechtenstein underlines that the package of support measures has been designed to offer SMEs in Liechtenstein an incentive to sustainably future-proof their business models during these challenging times.
