Georg Wohlwend has decided to resign as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG (LLB). His decision is due to criminal proceedings against him, though LLB states that they are unrelated to his work at the LLB Group.

Georg Wohlwend is resigning as Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLB, the LLB Group has announced in a press release. Effective 4 November, Vice Chairwoman Gabriela Nagel-Jungo will be assuming his responsibilities. Wohlwend has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLB since 2017.
The reason given for Wohlwend’s resignation is criminal proceedings against him. However, the press release states that these “are unrelated to his work at the LLB Group”. It also emphasizes that Wohlwend “firmly denies the allegations.”.
With his resignation, he reportedly hopes to avoid any burden on the LLB. According to the LLB Group press release, the Board of Directors thanks Wohlwend “for his extraordinary efforts on behalf of the company” and “takes note of this decision with great regret”.
