The battery-powered devices in the Nuron product series from Hilti have been awarded a total of 21 prizes at the Red Dot Awards and iF Design Awards. Four Nuron products even claimed awards in both product design competitions.

A wide selection of cordless tools available under the Nuron series from Hilti have received a total of eleven Red Dot Awards and ten iF Design Awards for product design, innovation and functionality, further details of which can be found in a press release issued by the global construction machinery manufacturer based in Schaan. The Hilti Nuron range includes 90 tools that can be powered by a single 22-volt battery platform. Batteries, chargers and battery-operated impact wrenches, drywall screwdrivers, rotary hammers, vacuum cleaners and angle grinders were all chosen as winners in the competitions.

The cordless impact wrench SIW 4 AT-22, the B 22-55, B 22-85, B 22-110, B 22-170 and B 22-255 battery platforms, the cordless jackhammer TE 2000-22 and the battery cut-off saws DSH 600-22 and DSH 700-22 won the double of a Red Dot Award and an iF Design Award, Hilti writes in the press release.

According to Hilti, the tools in the Nuron series are characterized by performance, safety and user comfort. As such, corded or gas-powered drills, saws, grinders and concrete vibrators, as well as rotary and demolition hammers, can accordingly be replaced with battery-powered equivalents. Thanks to brushless electric motors, the Nuron devices also last longer than their gas-powered counterparts.

The Red Dot Award is an international design competition for product design, communication design and design concepts. With the iF Design Award, the iF International Forum Design GmbH recognizes exceptional achievements in product design across a variety of categories.
