Hilti welcomes 18 new apprentices
Hilti has welcomed a total of 18 new apprentices at the start of the educational year. Two are taking Way-up Apprenticeships as design engineers at the Liechtenstein-based tool manufacturer. Third-year apprentices at Hilti are currently gaining experience at a junior enterprise.
A total of 18 new apprentices have just started training at Hilti according to a press release from the tool manufacturer based in Schaan in Liechtenstein. Having already completed the introductory week, they will now start their training in the six different specialist areas available at Hilti. Two of the new apprentices will be completing a Way-up Apprenticeship as design engineers. This vocational training shortened to two years prepares graduates for subsequent study at a technical university.
According to the press release, in addition to new specialisms such as digitization, Hilti places great importance on entrepreneurial thoughts and actions as well as taking responsibility in its vocational training. Third-year apprentices at Hilti can put this into practice in a junior enterprise. At these independently led junior enterprises, called JUFAs, they are “responsible for all tasks, from management to production,” according to the press release. Half of any profits made go towards charitable purposes.
Second-year apprentices at Hilti are currently testing their abilities in a social project in August. Specifically, they have actively supported farmers in Savognin in the canton of Grisons in collaboration with the assistance program for mountain farmers with the construction of a stall according to the stipulations of the new animal protection project.
