In the first four months of 2019, the Hilti Group further improved its sales on the previous year. For the year as a whole, the Liechtenstein tool manufacturer is expecting sales growth in the mid-to-high single digits.

According to a press release from the Hilti Group, the international tool manufacturer with headquarters in Schaan generated sales of 1.931 billion Swiss francs in the first four months of the 2019. When compared with the same period of the previous year, this corresponds to growth of 7.6 percent in local currency. All market regions contributed to Hilti’s growth.

“Overall, we had a positive start to 2019 in the first four months and sales are within our expectations,” commented Hilti CEO Christoph Loos in the press release. “For the entire year, we continue to expect growth in the mid-to-high single digits, even though the dynamics in the construction industry have slowed somewhat in several regions.”

In the reporting period, Hilti posted the greatest growth in its top market region of Europe. Here, sales climbed by 9.6 percent in local currency to the equivalent of 970 million francs.
