Hilti awarded for process innovation
The Hilti factory in Schaan has won the MX Award for Process Innovation from TU Berlin. The Liechtenstein tool manufacturer impressed with its strategy, its use of modern technologies and employee engagement.
The production processes put in place by Hilti have won an award from TU Berlin. In specific terms, Hilti’s factory in Schaan was honored with an MX Award in the category of Product Innovation as part of the Manufacturing Excellence competition, the tool manufacturer writes in a press release. In particular, the jury praised the company’s “systematic development” of a strategy, as well as its “agile” management approach, the press release states further.
“In order to remain competitive and innovative, fine-tuning our processes is a constant task”, comments factory manager Pascal Jud in the press release, before adding: “The fact that an independent group of experts has attested to the progressive nature of our work is a particularly welcome confirmation of the commitment of our team”. The plant at the company’s headquarters in Schaan is responsible for supporting product development within Hilti’s production network.
The MX Award forms part of the Manufacturing Excellence competition and is awarded by TU Berlin to companies based in German-speaking countries that operate across manufacturing industries. The award serves to honor the best practices of the participating companies. According to the jury, Hilti’s award is in recognition of its “clear strategy, mature corporate culture and established quality concept”, all of which ensure that the company is well prepared for the future.
