The Hoval Group is increasing its production capacities for heat pumps. At the company headquarters in Vaduz, a new production line for heat pumps has already been put into operation. From the spring on 2024 onwards, a new plant in Istebné in Slovakia is set to follow. In total, Hoval is investing a sum of 60 million Swiss francs to achieve this all.

Hoval is expanding its production capacities for heat pumps. With demand for heat pumps having “grown exponentially in recent times”, as Hoval puts it in a press release announcing its investment plans, the international business group is therefore pursuing a strategy of expanding production at its headquarters in Vaduz and at the site in Istebné, Slovakia. Hoval also maintains a presence in Switzerland with a location in Feldmeilen in the canton of Zurich.

“With our clear commitment to heat pumps and the resulting expansion of our production facilities in Vaduz and Istebné, we are strengthening our position in the field of renewable energies”, comments Fabian Frick, co-CEO of the Hoval Group, in the press release. Expanding the production capacities at these two locations will come at a cost of around 60 million Swiss francs for Hoval.

The new capacities at the headquarters in Vaduz were put into operation in September, with Hoval having since reported that the first heat pumps from its new production facility have  already gone on sale. The new plant in Istebné in Slovakia is scheduled to commence operations in the early part of 2024. Hoval is building a new, modern production plant for heat pumps here adjacent to its existing facilities. This will lead to the creation of around 500 new jobs, the company explains in the press release.
