The hunt is on again for innovative projects in the 12th round of the Ideenkanal initiative. For the first time, the Ideenkanal foundation opted to focus on specific topics and has clubbed together with partner organizations. Applications can be submitted up to September 5.

From now until September 5, the Ideenkanal initiative is inviting creative thinkers to submit ideas “for the realization of meaningful pioneering projects”, the foundation writes in a press release. For the 12th round of the competition, “the breeding ground for future-oriented pioneering projects in the Rhine Valley” opted to focus on thematic issues for the first time and “joined forces with four innovative organizations”, the press release explains further. Together, the aim is to discover “courageous people keen to develop and realize real-world solutions to confront urgent challenges of our time together with us”.

The Lebenswertes Liechtenstein foundation and Toni Hilti Foundation were brought on board as partners for the focus theme of Good Nutrition and Food Waste, the press release explains further, while the Kulturstiftung Liechtenstein (cultural foundation for the Principality) is supporting the thematic issue of Socio-Cultural Projects with a Liechtenstein Connection. In addition, the Vorarlberg Office for Voluntary Work and Social Participation is the lifeblood of the focus topic Third Spaces in Vorarlberg – Places to Meet and Spontaneous Engagement. Lastly, the Ideenkanal Foundation has taken the thematic focus of Gender Harmonization in Liechtenstein – Alternative Life, Work and Family Models under its wing.

The three most promising projects will each receive a grant of 2,000 francs or euros and will be invited to take part in the associate camp, which is set to take place October later this year. Until then, the candidates will be supported by way of a loose series of online events, with the first webinar scheduled to be held on June 22, 7-8.30 pm, on the subject of Good Nutrition and Food Waste in the Rhine Valley.
