Ivoclar Vivadent recorded slight year-on-year sales growth in the previous financial year. There was particularly strong growth in emerging economies for the Liechtenstein dental specialist.

According to a press release issued by Ivoclar Vivadent, the Liechtenstein-based dental specialist generated sales in the amount of 810 million Swiss francs in financial year 2018. Total sales were therefore 1.3 million francs up on financial year 2017. CEO Robert Ganley was quoted in the press release, stating: “Dental products developed exceptionally positively. However, on account of the changes in the dentistry market and rapid progress in digitalization in the area of dental laboratories, we had to contend with an ever more challenging competitive environment.

In the reporting year, Ivoclar Vivadent recorded particularly strong sales growth in emerging economies and Russia. In Europe, sales growth of 2 percent was registered. In contrast, sales in other regions, including North America, declined on a year-on-year basis.

In the same press release, Ivoclar Vivadent announced a change in corporate management. At the start of July 2019, Diego Gabathuler will replace Robert Ganley in the role of CEO.
