Climate Foundation to increase funding opportunities
Last year, the Swiss Climate Foundation awarded a record 3 million Swiss francs to SMEs from Switzerland and Liechtenstein. It intends to increase that amount this year. Applications are open until 1 March.
SMEs from Switzerland and Liechtenstein that want to develop innovative climate action products or save energy in their own operations can apply to the Swiss Climate Foundation for funding. The foundation makes a decision twice per year on awarding grants. The next deadline for applications is 1 March 2019.
Last year, the Swiss Climate Foundation awarded 3 million Swiss francs, the highest in its history. “We would like to surpass that amount this year, but this will only be possible if we receive a number of good project proposals from SMEs,” said managing director Vincent Eckert, adding that the online application form is easy to fill out.
“If we want to combat climate change effectively, we must use our innovative strength to protect the climate,” Eckert said.
