Lian keen to bring Twint to Liechtenstein
Ruggell - Lian Management is working towards establishing the Swiss payment solution Twint in Liechtenstein. However, regulatory obstacles must first be cleared. The company, which is headquartered in Liechtenstein, presently offers payment solutions in partnership with the Emmen-based payment service provider Sitto Payment.
Lian Management has its sights set on bringing the Swiss payment solution Twint to Liechtenstein. At present, this is not yet possible due to regulatory hurdles, as the payment service provider based in Ruggell, Liechtenstein, writes in a press release. Among other aspects, this is due to Liechtenstein being a member of the European Economic Area (EEA).
After the newspaper “Liechtensteiner Vaterland” published an article on this subject, Lian Ospelt, Managing Director of Lian Management, received dozens of emails from home and abroad offering encouragement and support, as he explains in the press release. He offers assurance that he will use all his knowledge and explore all of the options available in order to “ensure that Twint can soon be established in Liechtenstein”.
Even without Twint, Lian Management currently offers payment solutions for both online and offline spaces. To this end, the company works with the payment service provider Sitto Payment, which is based in Emmen in the canton of Lucerne.
