At this year’s Swiss Green Economic Symposium, Liechtenstein will be hosting an innovation forum under the motto: “Liechtenstein: How can an entire economic area become sustainable?”. The event is taking place with the support of Liechtenstein Marketing on September 2 at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Winterthur.
The aim here will be to highlight how businesses can contribute to the implementation of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The invitation specifically formulates these questions: How do you implement SDGs and how can their impact be measured? What incentives can be offered to promote sustainable development in an economic area? And how can industries work together to achieve the SDGs?
Participants should make an effort to familiarize themselves with the approaches pursued by the Liechtenstein economic area. In addition, this forum creates space for discussions with top-level names from the worlds of business, politics, science and civil society, with the aim of generating new networks in the process.
Confirmed speakers and discussion participants include, for example, Dr. Doris Frick, Ambassador of the Principality of Liechtenstein to Switzerland, in addition to Ursula Finsterwald, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Climate Foundation, and Brigitte Haas, Managing Director of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Furthermore, representatives from various banks as well as from companies such as Hilcona and Hilti will speak at the event. After three keynote speeches followed by a panel discussion, the plan is then to continue the discussion at several tables with the guests in attendance.
