Liechtenstein apprentices help renovate projects in Romania
Last October, apprentices from Liechtenstein helped to rebuild a forge and carpentry shop in Romania. Their efforts were honoured at an event in Schaan on Tuesday, where a video of the project was also presented.
During their stay in Almen (Alma Vii), Romania, the 21 apprentices from Liechtenstein not only actively assisted in the renovation work, but they also learned a great deal about life in Romania, according to the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce, which organized the Apprenticeship Camp last October. Ivan Schurte, Cassandra Senti and Alessio Haas from the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce accompanied the apprentices on their trip.
As a crowning finish to the project and to honour the efforts of the Liechtenstein apprentices, the Chamber of Commerce held an official closing event at the TAKino in Schaan on Tuesday. The camp’s participants, companies and sponsors, as well as the Presidium of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce, were presented with a review of the Apprenticeship Camp 2018, and a camp video produced by Emilio Lingg was shown for the first time.
The evening was hosted by Ivan Schurte and guests included Caroline Fernolend, president of the Mihai Eminescu Trust, who travelled from Romania especially for the event. The successful project received support from the Hand in Hand Foundation, the Future Foundation of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank and Frickbau AG.
