The Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LBB) has come first in the Swiss Annual Report Rating. After coming second last year, the LLB impressed the jury with the transparency, readability and design of its report.

The LLB came top of 238 competitors in this year’s Swiss Annual Report Rating, announced the Vaduz bank in a statement. Over the past ten years, it has always featured in the top 12 companies, with its annual report coming second overall last year. This year’s top ranking marks the culmination of the bank’s ascent, according to jury president Hans-Peter Nehmer in the statement.

In her speech, laudatory Ilona Gyöngyösi stressed the demands involved in creating a good annual report. “As well as the correct documentation of figures, an annual report should present the business model clearly and transparently to the different target groups,” she commented in the statement. “The Liechtensteinische Landesbank succeeded in doing this.

The LLB’s success is to feature in the next issue of business magazine “Bilanz”. It is impressive for a bank to come top of the rating, because “regulatory requirements are much more extensive in this field than in other sectors”, quotes LLB from an advance copy of the issue. In the article, one of the Annual Report Rating jury members attests to LLB’s clear, simple language and “pleasing lack of fluff”.
