Vaduz – The Future Foundation of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank awards grants for social and environmental projects. This year it awarded around 85,000 Swiss francs to 24 institutions.

The Future Foundation was established to mark the 150th anniversary of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) in 2011, writes the LLB in a statement. Since then, the charitable foundation has awarded more than 160 grants and made more than 50 contributions to project funding.

It promotes “future-oriented social and environmental projects” and “the vision of entrepreneurial philanthropy”, according to the foundation. It focuses on projects in the LLB Group’s home markets of Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Austria.   

This year, the foundation has awarded around 85,000 Swiss francs to 24 institutions. Among them are Caritas, the Red Cross, Behindertenverband, Krebshilfe, Frauenhaus, Seniorenbund, Bewährungshilfe, Flüchtlingshilfe, Hilfswerk, Verein Kindertagesstätten Liechtensteins, Lebenshilfe Balzers, Verein für Männerfragen and the Stiftung für Krisenintervention (KIT).

"These institutions do important work for the people in our country and in our region. They form a network and help where there is a need,” commented Roland Matt, Chairman of the Foundation Board of the Future Foundation and Group CEO of the LLB Group, in his words of thanks to this year's recipients at the grant event on Tuesday. “We are proud to be making a small contribution to their fantastic work through our Future Foundation."
