Lonely Planet recommends Liechtenstein
Lonely Planet has named Liechtenstein among the top ten European destinations to visit in 2019. The travel guidebook publisher highlights celebrations being held to mark 300 years since Liechtenstein became a sovereign nation.
Lonely Planet has compiled a list of the top ten travel destinations in Europe for 2019. Liechtenstein features as a “little but lovely” country that is perfect for a weekend trip.
2019 marks 300 years since Liechtenstein became a nation. Of the events being held to celebrate, Lonely Planet highlights an exhibition of the Princely Collection at the Museum of Fine Arts. The travel guidebook publisher also mentions the Liechtenstein Trail – a 70-kilometer hiking path that takes in all 11 municipalities.
Lonely Planet books cover almost all countries, cities and regions of the world. The publisher claims to have a portfolio of more than 500 titles, of which 270 are travel guides. It employs 400 people in offices in Melbourne, Oakland and London.
