The rating agency Moody's has again awarded its bank deposit rating of Aa2 and an issuer rating of Aa3 to the Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG (LLB). Both ratings confirm a stable outlook.

With a Moody's bank deposit rating of Aa2, the LLB is in the top league of Liechtenstein and Swiss banks, writes the Landesbank in a statement. It is also “one of the banks with the highest ratings in the world”.

Moody’s attributed the Landesbank’s excellent creditworthiness in particular to strong capital resources and its good liquidity and refinancing situation. The stable market in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and the stable ownership structure – the bank is majority owned by the country of Liechtenstein – also played a role.

The LLB's issuer rating of Aa3 is “also very positive”, continues the statement. The Landesbank highlights that the agency's outlook for both ratings for the LLB is stable. The complete Moody’s report is available for download on the LLB website.
