Liechtensteinische Post AG is seeking to adapt its branch network to changes in customer behavior. Over the coming two years, a series of branches are to be modernized. Some branches will be integrated in shopping malls.

Customer requirements at post offices have fundamentally changed in recent years, Liechtensteinische Post AG writes in a press release. In this context, there has been increased demand for digital payment services, while package volumes have also increased. Liechtensteinische Post is planning to adapt its branch network to these new circumstances by 2022.

In the Vaduz branch, Liechtensteinische Post will be using the time before it moves into a new location to test new sales concepts. Among other measures, there are plans for a parcel drop-off area, "where packages ready for dispatch can be posted independently", Liechtensteinische Post AG states in the press release. In addition, a Post café is to be set up and local businesses are to be given the opportunity to offer their own products through sales boxes set up in the branch.

The branches in Triesen and Eschen are to move into shopping malls. To this end, Liechtensteinische Post AG has entered into a partnership with Migros. In Eschen, the post office is to move into a planned shopping mall located on Essanestrasse in summer 2022.

In Triesenberg, the tried-and-tested Post partnership model is to be implemented with a Triesenberg-based partner before the end of this year, Liechtensteinische Post AG explains further in the press release. The post office in Bendern will, in contrast, be closed before the end of 2020. Liechtensteinische Post AG states in the press release that this decision was taken because the branch in Eschen is an “equivalent alternative” for the customers of the post office in Bendern, who mostly reach this branch by car.
