Daniel Risch has taken part in the Süddeutsche Zeitung Wirtschaftsgipfel in Berlin. There, the Prime Minister of Liechtenstein presented the country as a finance and business location within a European context. He also spoke with the German Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Finance, Olaf Scholz, at the summit.

Prime Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein Daniel Risch has presented at the 15th Süddeutsche Zeitung Wirtschaftsgipfel [economic summit]. According to a government press release, he presented the finance and business location Liechtenstein in a European context in his speech. During the panel entitled “Europe and the World”, he talked with the European Commissioner for Financial Services, Financial Stability and Capital Markets Union, Mairead McGuiness, the Austrian Federal Labor Minister, Martin Kocher, and the Mayor of Nancy in France, Mathieu Klein.

At the economic summit, Risch spoke with German Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Finance Olaf Scholz, who could be the next Chancellor, and with Annalena Baerbock, Co-Leader of Germany’s Green Party, among others. He also met other leading German politicians during his stay in Berlin, including Volker Wissing, General Secretary of the FDP (Free Democratic Party), and Ralph Brinkhaus, the parliamentary group leader of the CDU (Christian Democratic Union) faction. Lunch at the Embassy of Liechtenstein also provided the opportunity to meet top representatives from business and science.

Risch additionally presented the Liechtenstein Initiative on Finance against Slavery and Trafficking (FAST) during various speeches. The initiative promotes an active contribution from the financial sector to the fight against slavery.
