Graziella Marok-Wachter has represented Liechtenstein at the International Transport Forum (ITF) of the OECD in the German city of Leipzig. The Minister of Infrastructure and Justice exchanged views with more than 60 counterparts on road safety and the future of international freight transport.

Graziella Marok-Wachter, Minister of Infrastructure and Justice in the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, has represented the Principality at this year’s International Transport Forum summit conference of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), further details of which can be found in a press release issued by the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein. More than 60 infrastructure ministers from all corners of the world were in attendance at the conference held on May 18 and 19, the press release explains further. Fortunately, it was possible to hold the summit in person again this year, in contrast to virtual events held in the previous two years.

At this year’s conference, the effects of the war in Ukraine on infrastructure were discussed, among other aspects. In addition to taking part in the general discussions, Graziella Marok-Wachter was involved in two ministerial discussion rounds, according to the press release. During these discussions, the participants exchanged views on the challenges of road safety and the future of international freight transport.

“It turns out that the challenges, regardless of the size of a country, are very similar in many areas, such as in relation to road safety or efficient, seamless and more environmentally friendly supply chains”, Marok-Wachter explains in the press release. “That’s precisely why sharing experiences is so valuable”, the Minister of Infrastructure and Justice concludes.
