Students develop strategies to benefit sporteo
A total of 19 students from the Entrepreneurship and Management Master’s degree program at the University of Liechtenstein have conceived strategies for the sports management firm sporteo over a period of 28 hours. Their focus was on the company’s expansion into the German and Swiss markets.
Students enrolled in the Master's in Entrepreneurship and Management at the University of Liechtenstein are lending fresh impetus to a successful sports management company. As part of a 28-hour hackathon, the students developed strategies aimed at enabling the sponsoring and media business areas of sporteo AG to enter the German and Swiss markets. The agency, which is headquartered in Schaan, specializes in the area of holistic sport management and integrated communications in football, and is responsible for handling marketing activities on behalf of Austrian football.
“It's fascinating”, said founder and board member, Josef Lenhart, at noon on the first day of the event, according to a press release issued by the university. “These young people got to know our company three hours ago and not only independently recognized problems that we are currently dealing with, but also identified solutions”, Lenhart added.
The students appreciated the opportunity to interact with the local economy and apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems. This cooperation ties in with the goal of the chair that seeks to enable students, executives and partners from business and society in Liechtenstein and across the wider region to discover entrepreneurial opportunities and to develop future-oriented strategies.
