Students in Liechtenstein show entrepreneurial spirit
Vaduz - Students at the University of Liechtenstein are characterized by an above-average entrepreneurial spirit. This is according to the most recent GUESSS report from the University of St.Gallen and University of Bern. The top place in the DACHLI region is taken by the University of Liechtenstein.
The University of Liechtenstein is one of the most entrepreneurial universities in the world. According to a press release from the University of Liechtenstein, it comes first in the DACHLI region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein) in the most recent “Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Student's Survey” (GUESSS). The study is a joint project by the University of St.Gallen and the University of Bern. More than 226,000 students at universities in 57 countries were surveyed for the GUESSS Report 2023.
The University of Liechtenstein views the results of the study as proof of the great importance of entrepreneurship at its institute. Marco Furtner, delegate of the country team for Liechtenstein and Professor of Entrepreneurship and Leadership, and Tobias Fitz, operational manager of the survey and program manager of the MSc Entrepreneurship & Management, commented in the press release: “The special entrepreneurial climate at the university is remarkable. We are number 1 in the DACHLI region, number 2 in Europe and we are in an excellent 16th place worldwide.”
More than 100 students at the University of Liechtenstein took part in the survey. Among other things, they were asked about their intentions to establish a company directly after completing their studies or five years afterward. The university also came first regarding the number of students who have already established a company during their studies or are in the process of doing so. ce/hs
