The management and control of public enterprises in Liechtenstein is the subject of the second Corporate Governance Conference held by the University of Liechtenstein. The event is due to take place on Wednesday, September 1. Roland Müller from the Financial Market Authority Liechtenstein has been lined up to speak, among other guests.

The Chair for Company, Foundation and Trust Law at the University of Liechtenstein is holding its second Corporate Governance Conference together with the Board Foundation. At the event, which will take place 08.30-17.30 on September 1, the focus will be on the management and control of public enterprises in Liechtenstein, the university writes in a press release. The conference will also seek to shed light on various aspects in connection with this topic.

The first speaker at the event will be Roland Müller, President of the Supervisory Board of the Financial Market Authority Liechtenstein, who will outline the terminological and legal basis of the Liechtenstein law on the control and supervision of public companies that was adopted eleven years ago, the press release explains. This will be followed by a talk given by Peter Beck from Querdenkerei GmbH on owner and corporate strategy and a presentation by Thomas Zwiefelhofer from the First Advisory Group, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Affairs from 2013 to 2017, on the issue of interactions between corporate executives and government.

After breaking off for a buffet-style networking lunch, the participants will be given the opportunity to delve deeper into individual aspects in “break-out” sessions. These will be followed by another talk, this time by Michael Hanke, Professor for Finance, on risk management and compliance. Drinks will be offered to bring the event to a close, although just before this Klaus Tschütscher, President of the University Council of the University of Liechtenstein, and Alexandra Butterstein, representative of the Chair for Company, Foundation and Trust Law, will moderate a panel discussion featuring the day’s speakers
