The Startup Platform operated by the University of Liechtenstein is set to go live on June 2. Its aim is to promote innovative business ideas with a series of workshops and supporting events. A spotlight will be placed on local initiatives covering key topics such as financing, taxation and intellectual property, while local industry will also be involved. All in all, this will provide the start-ups and all interested parties with a toolkit that they can lean on for support in the future as well.

According to a press release from the University of Liechtenstein, the focus is on the business concepts developed by the participants. They will have an opportunity to present their projects to experts and receive constructive critical feedback.

A preliminary jury will be tasked with drawing up a shortlist of five finalists. Cash and non-cash prizes totaling 40,000 Swiss francs are on offer for them. In December, these start-ups will publicly present their respective business plans in front of a “top-class jury”.
