University of Liechtenstein to hold digitalization event
The University of Liechtenstein has organized a conference on the topic of “Digitalization in finance and law”. Over the course of one day, high-ranking expert speakers will discuss the opportunities and risks pertaining to technological innovations.
The opportunities and challenges presented by the “digital (r)evolution” will be the focus of a conference organized by the University of Liechtenstein. As announced on the institute’s website, high-ranking expert speakers will shed light on both the opportunities and legal risks of digital innovations over the course of the one-day conference. The event will take place on September 17 in the university’s auditorium.
The event will appeal to employees of banks, investment firms and FinTechs. Attorneys, trustees and asset managers are also among the target audience for the event. Moreover, authorities and scientists will also be addressed, as they maintain a professional interest with regard to developments in the worlds of digitalization, finance and law.
Digitalization has “also significantly driven and changed the financial sector over the past few years”, according to the presentation text for the event. While it is true that “technological innovations such as blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), RoboAdvice and cloud computing” present new opportunities, they also “raise legal questions, for example with regard to data protection and cyber security”.
