The University of Liechtenstein has received two awards for projects from the Erasmus+ program. One award was conferred for the development of training for managers in business process management. The other award was for two projects in further education mobility.

The University of Liechtenstein explains in a press release that the Agentur für Internationale Bildungsangelegenheiten ([Agency of International Educational] AIBA) acts as the Liechtenstein agency for the European Erasmus+ program. The press release further states that, in this capacity, AIBA has bestowed the university with two awards for its projects within the framework of Erasmus+.
As such, the university was awarded in the category of further education for its involvement in the international project Online Learning Modules for Business Process Management (BPM) Advanced Higher Education. In this program, together with the University of Münster, VU Amsterdam, Copenhagen Business School, and the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the University of Liechtenstein developed a reference plan for training managers for business process management.
The university explains in the press release that the new reference plan is characterized by the integration of current research results and virtual scenarios. Jan vom Brocke, Head of the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein, is quoted in the press release, saying: “Integrating the results of international research and linking with the regional economy and society make this BPM online curriculum so unique and innovative.”
The university received a further accolade in the special award category, for which the university’s two mobility projects Organisation of Mobility and International Credit Mobility received awards from AIBA. The university writes that a total of 115 persons had taken part in the two international exchange programs from mid-2017 to mid-2020.
