The Business Day for Women in Vaduz drew in 450 participants from various different countries. Daniela Meier, Managing Director of the Verein Kindertagesstätten Liechtenstein, was the proud recipient of the Business Day Award.

On 14 May, the Business Day for Women took place in Vaduz for the twelfth time. A press release revealed that the event attracted 450 participants from Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. A number of entrepreneurs and managers as well as Liechtenstein’s government were present. During this event, participants reported on their experiences in the world of business. Speakers included Monika Walser, who helped lead Swiss furniture manufacturer de Sede out of the crisis, the Austrian fashion designer Lena Hoschek, whose clothing is inspired by vintage fashion, and Sandra Copeland, Director of the government hospital Landesspital Liechtenstein.

At the conclusion of the event, the Business Day Award was presented for the third time. The winner this year was Daniela Meier, Managing Director of the Verein Kindertagesstätten Liechtenstein (association of childcare facilities Liechtenstein). “This year, we made it our mission to find a woman who is not only a businesswoman, but also champions achieving equality between men and women and is socially engaged. In Daniela Meier, we have found a woman who does all this,” said Natalie Epp, Member of Executive Board at Liechtensteinische Landesbank, as she presented the award. Daniela Meier manages a highly complex operation of 140 employees and at the same time is committed to helping women in the company effectively balance their family and career priorities.

The Liechtenstein government backs the Business Day for Women. It is also supported by various partners, institutions and associations. An expert jury selects the recipient of the Business Day Award, which is presented by the Liechtensteinische Landesbank.
