Global association honors University of Liechtenstein
The Association for Information Systems (AIS) has honored the Liechtenstein Chapter of the AIS for its outstanding work within the area of information systems. This is the fifth time that the University of Liechtenstein has received this accolade.
Being recognized as an “Outstanding Chapter of the AIS” by the global association requires not only high-quality journal publications but also proven contributions to the economy and community of the region, the University of Liechtenstein outlined in its press release. The team at the Institute of Information Systems have previously received this accolade each year between 2014 and 2017. In April, the Liechtenstein Chapter of the AIS – one of 44 AIS chapters worldwide – was once again honored as an “Outstanding Chapter of the AIS”.
Founded in 2009 by Jan vom Brocke, the Liechtenstein Chapter of the AIS has “raising the international profile of Liechtenstein in the key future area of information systems” as its goal, the University explains. As the first German-speaking chapter of the AIS, it has already received other major awards in the past. Examples mentioned in the press release include being placed fourth in Europe and first in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) in the 2017 and 2018 AIS Research Rankings.
