Global Association for Information Systems honors University of Liechtenstein
The global academic Association for Information Systems (AIS) has honored the Liechtenstein Chapter of the AIS for excellent services in the field of information systems. This is the eighth time in a row that this has been awarded to the University of Liechtenstein.
According to a press release from the University of Liechtenstein, this year the university's Institute of Information Systems has once again been commended by the global academic Association for Information Systems (AIS) as an Outstanding Chapter of the AIS. This honor is awarded by the AIS to its information system members in recognition of excellent services. According to the press release, the Liechtenstein institution scored highly this year “with innovative teaching and learning concepts, publications in distinguished international journals, and application-oriented research”.
Jan vom Brocke, Head of the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein and President of the Liechtenstein Chapter of the AIS, states in the press release: “We are extremely delighted about the recognition of the services from the Liechtenstein Chapter of the AIS in research, teaching, and transfer and the new commendation for 2021. In particular, we would like to thank the regional industry and society for its ongoing support as well as the information systems research community.”
Individual researchers at the Institute of Information Systems also received awards in 2021. The press release specifically mentions the naming of Jan vom Brocke as Schöller Senior Fellow. Jan vom Brocke, Manuel Weber, and Thomas Grisold received the BMP 2021 Case Innovation Award. A publication by Janine Hacker, Joshua Handali, Jan vom Brocke, Johannes Schneider, and Markus Otto received the Liechtenstein prize for emerging researchers University of Liechtenstein.
