Hilcona AG, which is based in Schaan, received a visit from Daniel Risch, Minister for Economic Affairs. Risch sees the fact that the new owners of Hilcona AG are investing in the group headquarters as a vote of confidence in Liechtenstein as a place of business.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Liechtenstein and Minister for Economic Affairs, Daniel Risch, visited Hilcona AG in Schaan last Friday. CEO Martin Henck, Bernd Wurster (Corporate Services) and Peter Schmidheiny (Supply Chain) presented the company to the politician during his visit. With 900 employees hailing from 45 countries, Hilcona AG is one of the leading food producers in Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Since 2017, Hilcona AG has been 100 percent owned by the Bell Food Group from Switzerland, which, in turn, is majority owned by Coop-Genossenschaft.

Risch was particularly impressed by the high degree of flexibility in production processes and the way in which great importance is attached to the issue of sustainability in respect of employees, the environment and society as a whole. In a press release issued by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Economic Affairs, and Sport, Daniel Risch commented that the company represents an excellent and typical example not only of the broadly diversified economy and business location of Liechtenstein, but also of the entrepreneurship that exists in the country. Further chapters have been written in the success story of Hilcona AG, which was founded back in 1935, since the takeover by Bell was concluded. The press release also explained that the major investment projects in the pipeline for Schaan are a clear signal of intent from the new owners and represent a vote of confidence in the company’s location.
