Concepts of landscape are realized in the form of a ‘wonder chamber’ at the Institute of Architecture and Planning at the University of Liechtenstein. In November, the student projects will be on display at the POTENTIALe design fair in Austria.

Students at the Institute of Architecture and Planning at the University of Liechtenstein are presenting their concepts of landscape in the studio Exploring Landscape.Studio. The ‘wonder chamber’ or Wunderkammer created by their work unifies “new and old, found and created, text and image, sculpture and space”, which mutated into a “miniaturized image of an entire macrocosm and accessible model of a three-dimensional conceptual world”, according to a statement from the University of Liechtenstein.
For Vera Kaps and Urs Egg, lecturers at the Exploring Landscape.Studio, landscapes
are neither self-contained nor self-explanatory. Rather, they are constructed through “everyday cultural practices”. In the studio, the different layers of such landscapes can be viewed through “the lens of literature, art, cultural studies and architecture”.

Exploring Landscape.Studio will be a guest at the POTENTIALe design fair in Feldkirch, Austria, from November 8 to 10, where student works will be presented in the new Design Lab format.
