The Future Foundation of Liechtensteinische Landesbank paid out a total of 85,000 Swiss francs in grants this year. With this money, 24 institutions involved in the field of social work were supported overall.

Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) has been awarding grants for 43 years now, LLB writes in a press release. In 2011, the bank, which is majority-owned by the government of Liechtenstein, established the Future Foundation for this purpose. This year, the Future Foundation paid out a total of 85,000 Swiss francs to 24 social institutions.
“The work of the social organisations in Liechtenstein plays an especially important role in 2020”, comments Roland Matt, Chairman of the Foundation Board of the Future Foundation and Group CEO of the LLB Group, in the press release. He believes that our everyday lives are being shaped by extraordinary pressures. “We are all the more thankful to those who make a contribution to alleviating these difficult times”, he concludes.
The institutions supported this year cover a broad spectrum from Caritas and counselling to the Association for the Disabled and the Association for Assisted Living, all the way through to probationary and refugee assistance services, women's shelters and men's assistance as well as the Foundation for Crisis Intervention. The traditional event with symbolic check presentations had to be cancelled this year on account of the coronavirus pandemic, the LLB explains in the press release. Over the past ten years, the bank’s foundation has processed nearly 190 grants and made more than 60 contributions to social and environmental project funding, according to the press release.
