Heated underwear wins Startup Platform
Libera’s team has won the Startup Platform competition in Liechtenstein. The two founders prevailed with their heated underwear for period pain. They will now receive professional coaching.
The Institute of Entrepreneurship at the University of Liechtenstein has held the Startup Platform competition on behalf of the Government of Liechtenstein. For this, founders selected by a preliminary jury presented their business ideas at a pitch event. A winning project was then chosen to receive support through workshops with professional coaching.
According to a press release from the University of Liechtenstein, this year’s winners are Anna Prugger and Johanna Müller. They are the founders of the startup Libera, which plans to bring to market heated underwear to alleviate everyday period pain. The heat levels would be able to be adjusted individually. Additionally, the two founders are placing a focus on the aesthetics.
Startup Platform is a follow-up project to the long-standing business plan competition for Liechtenstein and the Rhine Valley, Businessplan Wettbewerb Liechtenstein/Rheintal, which aims to motivate interested founders to implement their business ideas. Deputy Prime Minister of Lichtenstein Sabine Monauni stated in her speech at the award ceremony: “The path to creating a successful company has many challenges that cannot be overcome alone. This is why it is important to seek advice, tap into expertise, and enter into partnerships.”
