Vaduz – The location initiative digital-liechtenstein.li has launched the “Cyber Security Liechtenstein” campaign. The aim is to increase awareness of dangers online. The campaign will also be offering support.

The management team of digital-liechtenstein.li is of the view that cyber security is “a key issue for the economic location of Liechtenstein”, as outlined in a press release. The location initiative is therefore now implementing its first major project under the “Digital Roadmap” strategy paper and launching the “Cyber Security Liechtenstein” campaign.

A central element of the campaign is the cybercheck.li website. It contains a self-test for SMEs, which can provide them with an overview of the current safety level of their business by answering a series of 30 questions. The SMEs will also receive specific recommendations to improve their security measures. The website should also serve as an information platform. To this end, expert contributions and interviews will be published, while the website will also help to facilitate networking activities with partners and specialist departments.

As part of the “Cyber Security Liechtenstein” campaign, events such as seminars will be organized in future. Microsoft, a new member of digital-liechtenstein.li, will accordingly be organizing a workshop to be held in February. A joint survey with the University of Liechtenstein is also being conducted among companies in Liechtenstein at the moment. Based on the results of this, the Hilti chair for Data and Application Security of the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein will be working on a study on “the prospects and recommendations for action in the area of cyber security in the economic location of Liechtenstein”. The results of this should also serve as recommendations for the economy and the government.

The digital-liechtenstein.li location initiative is sponsored by the Princely House and Government of Liechtenstein. The following partners have been secured for the “Cyber Security Liechtenstein” campaign: Funk Insurance Brokers, FL1, the University of Liechtenstein, BDO, the MTF Group, Speedcom and HSL Informatik.
