Liechtensteinische Post installing four parcel machines
For the first time, Liechtensteinische Post is now offering its customers the use of parcel machines. As such, mailmen will now be able to leave undeliverable parcels and registered mail for recipients at four locations. Addressees can collect their mail around the clock in addition to posting returns at these locations too.
Liechtensteinische Post AG has put the first parcel machines in Liechtenstein into operation. Three machines went live on January 11 at locations on the corner of Hofistrasse and Beim Kreuz in Triesenberg, on Postplatz in Schaan and on Im Schwibboga in Gamprin-Bendern, further details of which can be found in a press release.
A fourth parcel machine is set to be put into operation on February 23 at the new Sonnenplatz shopping center in Triesen. According to the press release, the local communities will be informed about the exact locations of the parcel machines as part of an information letter sent out prior to the launch.
As soon as a machine is put into operation in a certain area, recipients will be able to pick up their parcels and registered letters from their nearest parcel machine. As such, Liechtensteinische Post will no longer leave undeliverable items with partners or at branches.
Customers will also be able to use the machines to post returns within Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Payment is made by credit or debit card at the machine terminal, which guides the customer through the menu on a screen. Customers can then deposit their shipment in a locker assigned to them specifically.
