The University of Liechtenstein has launched its first Certificate program in blockchain and fintech. From now on the programme is to held on an annual basis in cooperation with Bank Frick.

The first Certificate program in blockchain and fintech began at the University of Liechtenstein on 14 February. According to a press release, 18 people will be taking part, including bankers, lawyers, trustees, asset managers and chartered accountants. They will be taught by professors from the university and by local international practitioners.

Events in these subject areas have already been offered at the University of Liechtenstein, for example, with the “Blockchain in Finance” series. Study head Martin Angerer says offering a study program was the next logical step.

Bank Frick is sponsoring the new study program and from now on it is going to be offered on an annual basis. This will enable the university to meet the “large international demand”. Reportedly enquiries have already been received for the next course program.
